Summer, CVT

Summer’s affection for animals turned into a career as a veterinary technician because she had a friend who worked in the veterinary field, and related to Summer how much she loved her job. Summer most enjoys working with a team, and making a difference in the lives of the clients and patients she encounters each day. Summer is a graduate of The Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology, and has an A.A.S. degree. Summer joined the OVRA staff in March of 2008.

Summer has one cat at home named Opie. He is a brown tabby cat who is “a little” overweight. His favorite things to do include napping with Summer on the couch, and going on adventures outside. Recently Summer also adopted a mixed breed dog named Hooch.
