Orthopedic/Soft Tissue Surgery

Dr. Curt Daly is a board certified specialist in small animal surgery and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgery. Dr. Daly received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in 1999, and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery in 2000 and an internship in surgical oncology in 2001 at the University of Illinois. He completed his small animal surgery residency at Tufts University in 2004. Dr. Daly’s clinical research involved treatment of vascular anomalies including portosystemic shunts.

Dr. Daly performs advanced thoracic, abdominal, orthopedic and spinal surgery for a variety of diseases and conditions affecting small animals. He is certified in tibial plateau leveling osteotomy and has experience treating knee problems including cruciate ligament injury and patellar luxation.

In addition to the advanced surgery already offered at OVRA, Dr. Daly offers minimally invasive surgery utilizing arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy. Dr. Daly’s specialty interests also encompass oncologic (cancer) surgery, including limb salvage and soft tissue reconstructive techniques.

Dr. Daly has been in the veterinary field for more than a decade, and joined OVRA in 2004. He enjoys the daily challenge of being a good doctor and working with people. His favorite part of his job is seeing great outcomes from difficult surgeries and knowing he helped change the life of a pet and its owner. His Calico cat, Josie, is more dog than cat; she begs for food and retrieves small tennis balls like a Labrador.
