Donna S. Dimski, DVM, MS, DACVIM

Internal Medicine

Dr. Donna Dimski is a board certified specialist in small animal internal medicine and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Her clinical areas of interest include feline medicine, liver disease and gastroenterology. She is skilled in many medical procedures, including gastrointestinal endoscopy, rhinoscopy and chemotherapy.

She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1985. Following a one-year internship at Purdue University, Dr. Dimski completed a small animal medicine residency and Master of Science degree in Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University. Dr. Dimski joined the faculty of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, teaching small animal clinical medicine, urology, gastroenterology and nutrition. While at LSU, Dr. Dimski researched feline liver disease and nutrition. She has published extensively in this area, and has lectured nationally and internationally on feline medicine. After attaining the rank of associate professor, she left academia and began practicing in Oregon in 1994.

It was Dr. Dimski’s childhood dream to become a veterinarian; now she’s been in the field for more than 20 years and joined OVRA when it was founded in 1997. She has four pets: Bally, a soft-coated Wheaten Terrier; Rupert, a Labrador; and Tobie and Keta, cats.
